Hooottt!!!

Hooottt!!!, originally uploaded by alexdpx. The outside temperature according to my car.

This was in June 25, 2006 at about 2:35 p.m. Temperature in Doha started to rise for the summer around May, expected to peak at mid-July, and expected to drop by September. Just to give an idea of hot that temperature is. In Manila, at the peak of the summer season in April, the temperature averages from 36 to 38 Centrigrade. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) The highest temperature I've ever experienced here was 55 Centigrade in 2003. Imagine yourself in front of a grille oven with the door open - that's how it feels. It's so hot that your cold water line becomes hot enough to make coffee and our way of cooling it is mixing it with water from the hot water line (with the water heater not turned off for some time, of course).
